June 15, 2021 (Monroe, Connecticut) – AXEL Plastics Research Laboratories (“AXEL”), a leading manufacturer of mold release and process aid additives, is celebrating its 80th year of supplying the global plastics industry with best-in-class products.
Since its founding in 1941, AXEL has grown from a small R&D and manufacturing company in New York City, to an internationally-recognized supplier of mold release and process aid additives. Today it is headquartered in Monroe, Connecticut and in its third generation of family ownership and operation.
Reflecting on this milestone, Frank Axel, CEO, said, “We are all very proud of our achievements and our team of dedicated people to whom we owe our success. My father, our founder, couldn’t have imagined or projected how his Company would mature over the 40 years since his passing.”
