Since its founding in 1941, AXEL has grown from a small R&D and manufacturing company in New York City, to an internationally-recognized supplier of mold release and process aid additives. Today it is headquartered in Monroe, Connecticut and in its third generation of family ownership and operation.

February 19, 2021 (Monroe, Connecticut) – AXEL Plastics Research Laboratories (“AXEL”), a leading manufacturer of mold release and process aid additives, has announced the promotion of Lawrence P. Lambert (Larry) to North American Sales Manager in addition to his role as Business Development Director. Larry has been with AXEL for 7 years, having previously worked as a Regional Sales Manager. Based in Michigan, he will lead the North American sales team and continue to direct the business development division.
“Larry is a great fit for this position with a long history of success,” said Director of Global Sales, Scott Waterman. “He is a valuable source of knowledge and guidance for our North American sales team and distributors.”

February 18, 2021 (Monroe, Connecticut) – AXEL Plastics Research Laboratories (“AXEL”), a leading manufacturer of mold release and process aid additives, has named Gene Martin as the new Regional Sales Manager for the Southeast U.S. region. Mr. Martin brings over 30 years of sales and technical experience to AXEL, which has been supplying mold releases for the plastics and rubber industries for more than 80 years.
“Gene brings technical expertise and in-depth market knowledge of the region, which will provide immediate value to our customers and our organization,” said President, Jacob Axel.
Mr. Martin will be responsible for sales and technical support for all key markets and product lines that AXEL manufactures and markets. Gene reports to Larry Lambert, North American Sales Manager. States include Kentucky, Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. Gene has been with AXEL since November 2019 in a Technical Service role and will continue to support all AXEL Regional Managers in addition to his sales responsibilities.
